Insect Food Scanner4.0.5 - App Store

Insects in your food? With Insect Scanner you'll know in seconds whether a product contains insect-based ingredients - without opening the package or doing tedious research.

HOW IT WORKS
. Scan the barcode: the product is instantly checked against a database of millions of foods worldwide.
. No barcode? Just photograph the ingredient list - the AI reads the text and checks it directly (label scan).

CLEAR RESULT AT A GLANCE
. Green: no insect-based ingredients found
. Red: contains insect ingredients
. Yellow: contains substances you flagged yourself

It detects carmine/cochineal (E120), shellac (E904) and beeswax (E901), as well as products containing insect flour such as house cricket, mealworm or migratory locust.

MORE THAN JUST SCANNING
. Your own watchlist: add your own ingredients or E-numbers (e.g. gelatin, palm oil) and get an extra warning.
. Search the database - with insect status shown right in every result.
. History & favorites: every scan saved, favorite products marked.
. Local backup & export of your data.
. Nutrition facts, Nutri-Score, NOVA & Eco-Score at a glance.
. Help & FAQ built into the app.
. Available in 13 languages.

Whether you're vegetarian, vegan, or simply someone who doesn't want to eat insects - Insect Scanner is always with you while shopping: in the supermarket, the health-food store, or online.
